Emergency Med Systems

Emergency Med Systems is a startup company with a vision. Dr. Coradi the inventor of Emergency Med System is an emergency physician who specializes in the cardiac resuscitation of pediatric and adult patients as well as trauma stabilization. He has served in the military for over 23 years. His vast knowledge of medicine and his desire to reduce errors in medication delivery during the acute management of the critically ill patient prompted him to develop this system. Presently it is estimated that 180,000 patients die from medical errors in the United States annually (U.S. Office of the Inspector General, November 2010). A significant portion of these errors occur during cardiac arrest events. The Emergency Med System is a decision support system designed to assist resuscitation teams during the most critical portions of the patient's management. The system provides evidence based algorithms and accurate weight based medication dosages through proprietary software patented by Dr. Coradi. To date development of this system has been by Dr. Coradi and his software team.

Presently, a working prototype for adult and pediatric cardiac emergencies has been developed and is set to be tested in the Simulation Lab at Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. Software development is needed to test and validate several additional resuscitation sections. We have commitments to validate these sections upon completion of their development. We are looking for investors interested in improving patient safety and reducing errors in medicine. Once this system is fully developed it will likely become the standard of care in medicine. With over 5,000 hospitals and 50,000 ambulances in the U.S. as well as a product specific for military and homeland defense the revenue potential from this product is significant.
